Initial story card and character design I started with a storyboard and then began the animation on flipagram. I had to do it in multiple projects because it kept crashing and pieced it together at the end in iMovie. before that i went back and added things like the title and music. Music was spotify royalty free and the fall was hitting the floor with a book. Last I changed the speed of the shaking also in iMovie. Principals used: - squash+stretch when the apple falls (flipagram has a shadow of the past slide making this easier) - timing, the fall was few frames while the pans were a lot in attempt to make it not so choppy - straight ahead animated - anticipation, with the apple shaking (did a different flipagram at 20 fps and in post changed the speed more) - arcs, with apple fall - staging, zooms on the apple and eyes (used lasso tool and shrunk it and filled in I like stop motion but it is a big undertaking and needs lots of planning unlike a single piece where you can add as much detail as you want and only have to do it once. It took around 2 weeks to make a 40 second video and it still is choppy. it definitely makes me appreciate animation a lot more. Storyboard
